Testimonials

"Haven's Harvest has been committed... to bring[ing] recovered food to the elderly of New Haven... During the pandemic, volunteers worked closely with Elderly Services Specialists to deliver food to seniors homebound...This organization is committed to getting the food- that is 'too good to waste'- to agencies serving under-served and marginalized residents."

- Tomi Veale, City of New Haven Elderly Services Director

"Every Thursday my family receives a box of food... at Friends Center. There have been many week's where we depended on this box for the bulk of our grocery items-especially protein. ... With two growing kiddos anywhere we can save money and resources is a win. ... We are grateful for Haven's Harvest - our food security would look very different without their generosity."

- Parent at Friends Center For Children

"Haven's Harvest has provided food ... proving transformative for our clients. They know that when they arrive, they can expect to be nurtured holistically with lifesaving interventions; health care, and, thanks to Haven's Harvest, nurturing food. Haven's Harvest is a life-saving beacon in the storm in our current era of diminishing social services, soaring food prices, and significant community divisiveness."
