By partnering with Haven’s Harvest, event organizers can ensure that excess food from their gatherings benefits those in need, rather than ending up in the waste stream. Gone are the days of begging attendees to take home leftovers!

This program is available in the following CT counties:

  • New Haven

  • New London

  • Hartford

  • Middlesex

How It Works:

1. Partnership Setup:

   - Partner with Haven's Harvest during your event planning process.

   - Provide details about the event, including location, caterer, and estimated attendance.

2. Coordination:

   - We liaise with your caterer, vendors, or venue to arrange seamless pickup of any excess food.

   - Our team ensures that the food is handled safely and redistributed to local organizations and individuals who need it most. Our volunteers use real-time tracking through our app to ensure food remains safe and out of “danger zones".

3. Educational Support & Recognition:

   - We will provide you with a placard to publicly display at your event, showcasing your company’s commitment to corporate responsibility and the Haven’s Harvest mission. Additionally, participating organizations are encouraged to mention Haven's Harvest in event materials, and we can supply digital assets to support this.

Program Fee:

Haven’s Harvest relies on a collaborative model to reduce food waste and nourish our communities. While participating organizations generously donate surplus food, there are essential costs associated with ensuring safe, reliable, and effective food recovery.

To sustain our operations, we ask participating businesses to contribute a program fee of $1 per event attendee, up to 200 guests. For events with more than 200 guests, custom pricing applies (contact us for details). This fee helps cover the logistics of food rescue, including coordinating pickups, supporting our volunteer network, maintaining compliance with food safety regulations, and ensuring that recovered food reaches those who need it most.

Your support enables us to continue this vital work, maximizing the impact of your donations while strengthening local food security. We call this “feeding two birds with one scone.” Your generous food donation fuels our community, and your financial contribution fuels our organization.
