Any business or organization — grocers, bakeries, farmer’s markets, food distributors, universities, caterers, event sites, even event hosts — can donate food. Your delicious donations have to be fresh and have been stored safely. You can donate at regular intervals or whenever is convenient for you.

For your tax purposes, Haven’s Harvest will send you a letter in the first months of the following calendar year with an accounting of your food donation by weight in the past year. There is a permanent enhanced tax deduction for food donations given to nonprofit organizations.
